THE BEST GIFT TO BRING BACK FROM ISRAEL IS THE ONE YOU'LL LEAVE BEHIND.

JERUSALEM (October 19) - American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) built on its growing success of arranging blood drives for tourists in Israel by hosting another blood drive at which a new milestone was established, the first time more than 1000 tourists donated blood in AFMDA blood drives in a year. This week’s Sukkot blood drive was held at Jerusalem’s Inbal Hotel.  Almost double the anticipated number of donors participated.  By comparison, for all of 2007, AFMDA helped collect 802 units of blood and is well on its way to reaching the goal of doubling last year’s total by the end of 2008.
